This exhibition brings together the diverse practices of four artists, each working within their own distinct mediums yet unified by a shared exploration of the forces of fission, fusion, and creative convergence. The exhibition explores how fragmentation and unity, separation and synthesis, work together to create dynamic intersections of art, culture, and identity.
Confluence invites viewers to engage with the process of mixology, not just as a blending of mediums and materials, but as a metaphor for the blending of cultures, identities, and ideas. Each artist’s work stands as a unique fragment of a larger whole, reflecting the transformative power of convergence that Kampala sets the scene for. Through their unique practices, these artists offer a multi-dimensional exploration of how fragmentation and synthesis can be an expressive building block for creativity and revealing the layers of human experience.
In this exhibition, the viewers are invited to witness and participate in the alchemical process of art-making via different materials (handmade paper, photo print, silk), where boundaries dissolve, and new forms and meanings emerge from the intersections of art, life, and culture.

My heart has become capable of every form:
It is a pasture for gazelles and a convent for Christian monks
And a temple for idols and the pilgrim’s Ka‘bah
And the tables of the Torah and the book of the Qur’an.
I follow the religion of Love: whatever way Love’s camels take,
That is my religion and my faith.

Endowed with a strange charm and a distant entity
Even when it is near it shines in a captivating wireless lights
Your lightening shines in the very depth of the darkest night

The kept trying to compare you with casual beauty
And if they exchange with you true gaze
Or contemplated you with the heart eyes
They will never equalize you with light nor fire or the shrewdest imagination creations.
