OVERVIEW

This exhibition brings together the diverse practices of four artists, each working within their own distinct mediums yet unified by a shared exploration of the forces of fission, fusion, and creative convergence. The exhibition explores how fragmentation and unity, separation and synthesis, work together to create dynamic intersections of art, culture, and identity.

Confluence invites viewers to engage with the process of mixology, not just as a blending of mediums and materials, but as a metaphor for the blending of cultures, identities, and ideas. Each artist’s work stands as a unique fragment of a larger whole, reflecting the transformative power of convergence that Kampala sets the scene for. Through their unique practices, these artists offer a multi-dimensional exploration of how fragmentation and synthesis can be an expressive building block for creativity and revealing the layers of human experience.
